A Halifax resident for over 20 years, Jonathan is the newest addition to Auld Allen.
Jonathan received his law degree from Dalhousie Law School in 2009 and was
called to the Bar in 2010. During
his Articles, he acted as a prosecutor for Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
offenses, and has appeared in
Small Claims, Provincial, and Supreme Courts for numerous litigation matters
ranging from criminal defense,
contractual disputes, contested estates, personal injury, and property
matters. He has also represented clients
in Family Court for divorce and custody matters. Furthermore, Jonathan has
been involved in the preparation
of wills, estate planning, and the administration of estates.
Prior to receiving his law degree, Jonathan received his Bachelor of
Commerce, Cum Laude, from the Sobey
School of Business at Saint Mary’s University.
Outside of practicing law, Jonathan is an avid musician. He has played with
numerous bands including some
comprised of members of the legal community, and has participated in the March
of Dimes “Rock For Kids”
Battle of the Lawyer Bands for the past four years. Jonathan is also an
amateur race car driver, and has
attended numerous events within Canada. He placed 3rd in-class at
2008 FIA Canadian AutoSlalom Championships, and has won numerous local and
regional championships.
